Sustainably Chic

Fair Fall Essential: Linen Kimono

by Arraei Collective

Especially here in Florida, we aren’t ready for heavy sweaters or jackets. I like to leave the house wearing something that covers, yet is breathable and light. The Koa Kimono is such a versatile piece, and one I can see pairing with leggings and a long sleeve tee {or turtleneck} when it gets a bit more chilly. Lately, I’ve been wearing it alone tied on the side or completely open with a simple black dress. The Koa comes in a 100% hemp natural beige or this beautiful autumn digital print on 100% linen with both fabrics being OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified. Besides creating a lovely capsule wardrobe fit for any ethical closet, Arraei takes sustainability seriously throughout the entire business model. Their packaging is eco-friendly, paper is recycled, they use hemp twine for hang tags and cotton for labels, all fabrics are certified & organic, instead of regular dye processes on the linen they use digital, hemp fabrics are un-dyed & unaltered, and garments are always made in Vancouver to support local business with the sustainable circular economy in mind!
