Little Lentil Clothing

Before Elliott was born, I had made up my mind. If I were to buy new clothing for him, it would have to be organic! What we put on their brand new skin is incredibly important. What’s also important is picking brands who make clothes you can easily mix and match - and styles which are practical and everyday!

Reasons to Love Little Lentil Clothing

Safe & Soft for Baby: All of their clothing is made from 100% certified organic cotton making it incredibly comfy for your baby {& you.. since after all, you are holding and snuggling them so much :D}. Plus, they use low-impact dyes and always produce with fair labor practices!

Capsule Wardrobing for the Little Ones:  I wish I had thought of capsule wardrobing for Elliott in the beginning. We had so many things - mostly gifts - he only wore a couple of times because they weren’t super practical. With Little Lentil Clothing, you can make a 6 [$98] or 10 [$152] piece capsule wardrobe helping you save time and money.

Love the Clothes & Send Them Back: Okay, this is just too cool and isn’t done enough. Kids grow SO fast, and being able to send clothing back to be appreciated by other children is wonderful! PLUS, you can send back your old Little Lentil Clothing and receive 15% off your next purchase. Learn more about their Send-Back Program - here -

psst.. also check out their loved again vintage denim selection!

What Elliott is Wearing

This color is so beautiful, and the name would have had me sold before seeing it. Now that Elliott is becoming a lot more mobile, I like being able to throw a tee over his head with pants that easily slide on. He moves way too much for me to use snaps or buttons. This set is just perfect for both our energy!

Puck Wanderlust

{keep reading to see how you can save on your first purchase}

This is my 3rd piece from Puck Wanderlust & I’ve fallen in love all over again. The beautiful craftsmanship and design always gets me. Even Travis told me this morning that he liked my necklace! He rarely comments on my clothing, so I know this is a good one ;)

Reasons to Love Puck Wanderlust

Stunning Design: From ‘Day of the Week’ Totems to moonstones, each Puck Wanderlust piece has its own charm. Since everything is made by hand, no two pieces will ever be exactly alike which gives your piece so much character. The Bombay Deco collection {their newest one} is inspired by Indian art deco, and their geometric motifs, curvilinear lines, vibrant colors and patterns.

Ethical Production: All collections are designed in London, and handmade in Jaipur, India in a family owned gem and silver craft shop where fair working conditions have been established for their employees for decades.

Eco-Minded Materials: Puck Wanderlust pieces are hand-crafted in 100% recycled 925 silver and 18 carat gold vermeil with stones that have been hand selected, hand cut, and lovingly set.

What I’m Wearing

Black Onyx Eros Pendant Charm Necklace: This necklace is stunning, and I LOVE the new satellite chains they are using - so elegant! A Bombay deco inspired charm, this pendant features a lovely black onyx. This stone is also referred to as the ‘strength stone’, and it helps to enhance your focus while raising your energy.

Charmed by a Cause

Since my Valentine’s Day post featuring this ethical jewelry brand, I’ve been wearing the Multi Heart Band Ring almost every day. Not only does it look lovely on its own, but it’s also been great for stacking with my other silver pieces! Like the name says, these pieces truly are charming, and I’m always happy to add another to my collection <3

Reasons to Love Charmed by a Cause & Their Cause Partners

As you may remember from last month’s post, Charmed by a Cause pieces are ethically-made in NYC from 100% recycled 14kt gold, sterling silver, ethically-sourced natural stones & reclaimed or lab grown diamonds. Their prices are quite affordable since they sell direct-to-consumer and can avoid those markup fees. Plus, when you shop their jewelry, each piece will show exactly how much money is given to your Cause Partner of choice.

With each purchase, 20% of sales go to one of these partners:

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: A voluntary health organization giving those affected by
suicide a nationwide community in order to take action against this leading cause of death.

Covenant House: A safe haven sheltering and caring for homeless and trafficked youth in 31 cities across 6 countries.

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary: An organization rescuing farmed animals and giving them care & sanctuary, as well as advocating for animal rights.

What I’m Wearing

Love Key Pendant: “Love Opens All Doors” The gentle reminder to always keep an open heart is something I need a lot of these days! I’ve been struggling to find a balance between my new role as mama and entrepreneur, which has distracted me from the rest of the world. Not feeling as if I am allowed to be upset {because I do have a good life} has blocked me up. I think an open heart enables you to feel everything - even the sadness - in order to grow because we all have our struggles no matter the circumstances. It’s also about loving yourself so you can give the best of your love to others. I truly enjoy this necklace & all that it represents for me. You can find it in Recycled Sterling Silver, 14K Yellow, or White Gold.

Yala

I have a nice little collection from Yala, and spend a lot of my time in this brand. You may remember seeing them on the blog last March - that Cybill Fleece Wrap is extremely comfortable, and the organic cotton pieces have been very practical in my new role as Mama.

Reasons to Love Yala

Everyday basics: Any type of basic you need - from leggings to staple dresses - Yala will most likely have exactly what you are looking for. Plus, most designs come in several different colors, and they even throw in a few prints here and there.

Comfortable for busy women: I know most of you reading this have crazy, hectic schedules. You probably don’t have a ton of time to focus on your wardrobe, either. Most of us just want to be comfy while looking put together. I think Yala does an amazing job at merging the two together!

Great fabrics: I have loved how my Yala pieces have held up wear after wear, wash after wash. Most of my pieces are of their organic cotton or recycled poly, and I’ve been very impressed with how well they sustain and how comfortable they continue to be.

What I’m Wearing

Havana Dress: I actually got this dress last Spring after Elliott was born, and hadn’t gotten a good shot of it, yet. We went to Big Talbot Island this past week, and it was the perfect backdrop for this beauty. The Havana is made from 100% organic cotton, and comes in several colors {black - pictured here, navy, coral and blush}. Like all Yala pieces, it is made in the USA!

Supporting Filipino Craftsmanship through Vibrant, Ethical Handbags & Jewelry

Clare Hynes

Being a Florida gal, I was naturally drawn to Clare Hyne’s aesthetic. From the palm trees to the bold colors, this line is begging to be taken out under the sun. I feel like ethical fashion is known to have a few minimalistic color schemes, and everything is sort of subdued and neutral. I think this is great when it comes to building your everyday wardrobe, but adding a piece from Clare Hynes can really make your outfit shine!

Reasons to Love Clare Hynes

Sustainable Craftsmanship: Designer Clare Hynes has partnered with artisans in The Philippines to bring you their debut collection. After traveling all over the world and working with GKonomics in Palanog, Tacloban, Clare was able to connect with female artisans to help produce her line.

Vibrant Designs: There is just something really fun & positive behind this collection that so easily brings us in. Like I mentioned before, color is something you don’t see a ton of in ethical fashion. There are a lot more neutral color palettes, but when you work with accessories, it’s so much fun to have something pop!

Handwoven Fabric: As you probably already know, I love textiles, and handwoven ones are the most special. Clare Hynes is using an indigenous fabric called T’nalak, which is made by the T’boli people of lake Sebu, Mindanao, and Inabel on large antique wooden looms via a process called ‘Abel’. The women creating the T’nalak fabric have been passing this tradition down from generation to generation, and it continues to be a sustainable source of income for them. I’ve included a photo below so you can see part of the process. It is amazing!

What I’m Wearing

The Meghan Clutch Bag: This might just be the most unique & versatile handbag I own! The Meghan Clutch can be worn two different ways - one with a long cross-body, gold-braided strap handcrafted in Mindanao, by a husband and wife team - and another with a small handle made with wooden beads from Cebu, Philippines. The handbag itself is made from T’nalak fabric and a large brass cube clasp {which I think is such a fresh, new look - I mean, how many of your purses clasp like this?!}.
