It’s flannel wearing season!! & since we are in Asheville for a week, I thought this post was so fitting. We packed a few of our sustainably-made flannels - and a couple of thrifted ones for Elliott - on this trip. There’s just something wonderful about a comfy flannel during this time of year, don’t you think? But, before you go to the mall, I have a few ethical fashion brands making some GREAT flannels that I would love to share with you!

Faherty

For | Men & Women

Price | $128+

This family-run business is working on 5 core values: Be the Best, Deliver on Promises, Be Better Together, Stay Authentic, and Spread Good Vibes.

Faherty has a ton of flannels to choose from - along with various weights for different climates. The flannels are made from 100% organic cotton.

Outerknown

For | Men & Women

Price | $148

I have a flannel from this brand, and it’s amazing. They don’t call them flannels though - they are blanket shirts, which works perfect for their style. When I received mine, Travis asked where his was.. so I need to get on that! All of Outerknown blanket shirts are made from 100% organic cotton.

Patagonia

For | Men, Women, Boys & Girls

Price | $55+

Not only is Patagonia one of the best places to buy ethical clothing for everything outdoor related, but their prices on flannels are actually pretty good. The kid’s styles start at $55, and the adults start at $79 - plus, there are several on sale for less. Patagonia has many different styles and fabric weights to choose from, and they use 100% organic cotton.

Taylor Stitch

For | Men

Price | $125+

Travis owns one of their flannel shirts, and he loves it. Their quality is amazing, and they have a few plaid prints, as well as, solid colors. They use organic cottons, wools and reclaimed fibers. Taylor Stitch makes products that wear in rather than wear out, which is what we all like to hear when most clothing is built to fall apart. Definitely an awesome menswear brand!

Tentree

For | Men & Women

Price | $68+

This brand makes a few styles of flannels - even a cardigan and jacket for the ladies. Their prices are really great, and they use organic cottons.

For every purchase, Tentree plants trees - which you can even register them to track your impact - and by 2030 they plan to have planted 1 billion trees!

Toad&Co.

For | Men & Women

Price | $80+

Another well-priced collection of sustainable flannel shirts. Toad&Co uses a combination of both recycled fibers and natural fibers for their flannel blends.

Both men and women have several different colors and styles to choose from - and the ladies even have an adorable flannel dress!

United Blue

For | Men & Women

Price | $78+

I own a flannel from this brand, and it’s another favorite of mine. It’s a great weight and fit. They use a blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester for their flannel fabric.

For every purchase, United by Blue removes one pound of trash from the waterways.
