Fair OOTD | The Karina

Outfits Pt. 2Natalie Kay

with Liz Alig

My favorite basics usually involve stripes, and this Liz Alig dress has my name all over it. The Karina Dress is comfortable, flattering AND made fairly by Cambodian artisans. What else can you ask for, right?! Well, I'm not done. The fabric is 100% recycled jersey! The saying is true, 'One man's trash is another man's treasure'. Production is done in a small facility in Phnom Penh which is the same area they find large amount of excess fabrics discarded from bigger facilities. The factory Liz Alig has teamed up with pays all their workers a fair wage while giving them benefits and more paid holidays than we get here in the States.

You may remember Liz Alig from my blog last Spring where I shared the beautiful Lucy Dress OR from a few months ago in my Fair OOTD featuring their Bike Dress. Liz Alig has the perfect collection for women who don't want to compromise their sweet style while purchasing fairly. They believe clothing should be effortless, and the production transparent. Therefore, they always choose sustainable materials, and love working with recycled fabrics {like in the Karina Dress}, soft pima cottons, hand dyed silks and vibrant ikats. They understand what you choose to wear impacts the world, and slow fashion allows the opportunity to build stronger communities. It's a total win for us conscious ladies!

I've worn this dress several times to the beach with flip flops, but around town I love pairing it with my favorite Mamahuhu booties. I think the silhouette works great with them!
