Sustainably Chic

Eco-Minded Laundry Day

LifestyleNatalie Kay

The day when I wash all my Fair OOTDs, as well as tons & tons of baby clothes ;)

Shop the Look:

Weekender Top & Walk of Fame Shorts, JJWInks $74/$49

Socks, Thought $6

Wool Dryer Balls, Echoview Fiber Mill $24
This is my favorite way to dry clothing for several reasons. One - it eliminates the use of  disposable sheets and fabric softener. Two - there are no chemicals. Three - they last forever {okay, maybe not forever, but it sure does feel like it with the 1000 loads they can do!}. Four - they are biodegradable. Five - you can throw some essential oils on them to give them your signature scent. Pretty great, right?! Plus, the colored ones you see here are made with scrap yarn and leftover fiber from the yarn spinning process at Echoview Fiber Mill. Their facility is a Gold LEED certified building located in North Carolina about 15 minutes outside of downtown Asheville. They make beautiful home and fashion accessories, and sell their exceptional yarn by the skein for you to create, too!

I'm not sure about you, but the colors almost make me excited to wash clothes... :P

Happy Cleaning!
