Wow! It was absolutely gorgeous out in Charleston the other day. My friend was in town from Asheville & we had a surprise birthday for my boyfriend's 30th. My dad & mom {who live in England} are going to be here any minute, and tomorrow the whole family is going to Florida for a week to celebrate Thanksgiving. I realize I spend a lot of time talking about clothing, and little about my actual life. Since a certain holiday of 'thanks' is here this week, I just wanted to add how thankful I am for my family. I don't flood my blog with photos of them, but they are really awesome & maybe one day I'll open up a bit. I started this blog to tell stories about other people, but then end up getting many questions about my own personal life {which I don't mind!}, but it makes me realize how little people know me. Most people think I live in England or LA, but I actually live in Travel + Leisure's Best City in the World, Charleston, South Carolina. Not sure if I completely agree {I'm not from here, obviously}, but it is beautiful. All the photos in this post were taken downtown - thought I would share a few 'scenic' parts since many of you have probably not been to this small town, yet! {however, it is probably on your list now after reading Travel + Leisure} ;)

On to the Fair OOTD...

Outfit Details

  • Pirate's Girlfriend Headband by WOOLN : Made from Alpaca & Merino Wool, this guy will keep your ears warm all winter
  • Yuraq Bandana by Once Upon an Artisan : Pairs perfectly with the headband, and is made from Alpaca which is responsibly sourced, and supports sustainable livelihoods & crafts in the highlands of Peru. It is one of the softest pieces I own. My arms are constantly cold, so I keep it in the car to wear as a shawl if I don't have long sleeves on. Charleston loves to blast the A.C.
  • Essential V Dress by Indigenous from Green Orchyd : Made from 100% organic cotton using low-impact dyes by Fair Trade artisans in Peru. I've owned Indigenous pieces in the past, and have always been impressed with their wear. They make a lovely garment! Plus, use code sustchic20 for 20% off your Green Orchyd purchase.
  • Catt Clutch Fur by Veggani Handbags : Looks real, right? It's actually faux fur, recycled linings & repurposed hardware. Pretty incredible!
  • Olivia Anthracite Tights by Swedish Stockings : The first recycled stocking, and the only stockings I wear.
  • Fern Grey Sumaq Ankle Boot by Rock Pillar : How cute are these boots? You can read more about Rock Pillar here.
  • Jewelry by Agnes Ice : Read yesterday's post for a better close up! They are beautiful pieces.

What are everyones' plans for Thanksgiving this year!? Hope you are surrounded by family and good times!!
