Hello Sweater Weather! 10 Sustainable & Eco-friendly Sweaters for Fall

sweatersforfall.jpg

it's the most wonderful time of the year...

At home, I live my life in sweaters. However, the FL climate doesn't take too kindly to wool or heavy cottons during most of the year. We have finally started to get a little more chilly at nights/early mornings, and I'm taking advantage of that greatly. Here's my list of my favorite fall sweaters I think you will feel pretty cozy in, as well!!

 Hartley Organic Cotton Jacket

Brand: Thought Clothing

Price: $106

Made from 100% certified organic cotton, this cotton jacket is the perfect fall weight & layering piece. The relaxed fit makes this an easy everyday go-to {& what doesn't go with the color 'mist'?!}.

About Thought Clothing

Their contemporary, everyday clothing is meant to last you year after year. As someone who has owned their pieces for the last 3, I can definitely attest to their quality! Not to mention, their aesthetic will make you want to create the biggest wish list ever :D

FAIRFIELD MUSTARD CABLE KNIT JUMPER

Brand: Thought Clothing

Made from 100% certified organic cotton, this jumper is another beautiful fall piece from Thought Clothing. Mustard is one of my favorite colors, and this yarn is so wonderfully vibrant.

More About Thought Clothing:

Besides the stunning aesthetic, Thought Clothing is one of my favorites because of their choice in fabrics. I'm a big textile nerd, and love that they use so many natural textiles. Some of them include; wool, organic cotton, tencel & hemp. They even use reborn polyester! I think my fellow textile lovers would appreciate their sustainable fabric choices.

Border Wrap

Brand: Mayamam Weavers

Price: $44

Okay, maybe it isn't technically a sweater, but they are like mini blankets and I always keep one in my car for emergency AC situations. Plus, you can wear it on either side depending on how you want to style your look. Aren't the golds pretty?

About Mayamam Weavers

The Mayamam Weavers use weaving techniques of Mayan culture to create their accessories and home goods. The cooperative making up Mayamam Weavers was founded in 2008 in Cajolá, a Mayan town in the western highlands of Guatemala. The women came together to form this cooperative in order to overcome poverty while not having to migrate in the U.S. & leave their families behind. They have now grown to 20 weavers, all who are making a fair wage and learning how to run a business.
